Scandinavian Jaunt – the ship – Ponant’s Le Champlain

Almost 24 hours have passed already since we got on board this sleek 184 guest vessel and I am impressed on several fronts.

Atmosphere aboard

The warm feeling materials kept in elegant woods and leather paired with whimsical high quality soft goods in hues of birchy tans and cream tones make this sleek and efficient design a stand out among new builds.

Public spaces (above – lounge on deck 3) are generously copious for all guests with wide and well-lit hallways.

Then there is the gorgeous dining room on deck 4 which creates a cozy venue for exquisite meals and other gatherings. Breakfast and lunch are always buffet with a small menu of mains served table side while dinner is sit down service.

Staterooms

Pictured below is the grand deluxe suite

just like its 5 sister ship of the Explorer series, Le Champlain offers 92 cabins (all with balconies) in varying sizes ranging from the 204SQF deluxe and prestige staterooms to the 291SQF deluxe suites, the 409SQF prestige suites and up to the 494SQF owner and grand deluxe suites.

There truly is a cabin for every need and they all share modern clean lines and smart touches such as the separate toilet and shower setup which makes it so much more usable.

#ponantmoments has created a beautiful experience for exploration and expedition cruising.

Stay tuned for an update on the revolutionary underwater bar called Blue Eye in my next blog.
