Vietnam & Cambodia – final leg

Our journey is rapidly approaching it’s final day with a short flight from Siem Reap to Singapore on Silk Air.

Sad to leave our oasis of the outstanding Belmond La Residence behind, I am giddy with excitement to show Greg the world class city that Singapore has become.

It’s main attraction is the Marina Bay Sands complex which we can see straight out of our hotel room. It is an experience of mixed emotions to leave the amazing people of Cambodia behind and arrive in a bustling metropolis which was so well portrayed in the Hollywood blockbuster “Crazy Rich Asians”.

A street food stall dinner at Raffles Quai food market softened the blow a bit. Yet we are both ready to return home tomorrow.

  1. What a huge contrast between Cambodia and Singapore. Wow! Is there any other city it the world that is as futuristic as Singapore? I loved watching the video of the skyline and the light show of the Marina Bay Sands complex and the traffic flows between where you were staying and the complex. Can’t wait to hear more about it.

    Love,
    Julie
