You may have noticed my silence over the past two months as many of my readers, clients, and all of America (so it seems) were busy going places. There is a reason of course for that silence in that I lent my expertise and knowledge to travelers headed to Europe and many other places around the globe. Exciting work that kept me tied to my desk and computers to assure all went smoothly.
I am pleased to report that many amazing adventures and explorations in places such as Italy, Sicily, Malta, Jordan, Scandinavia, and Switzerland by air, land, and sea unfolded and enriched my readers and clients’ lives. “This is the power of travel I love” and it is my motivation behind writing these blogs. I hope that they inspire you to connect with foreign cultures, to discover far flung places, and to open your souls to enjoy the beauty of our planet earth.
As August winds down, I am preparing for a flurry of activities and adventures to come. My blogs will let you follow along as I rediscover the “reborn” Crystal Cruises from Venice to Athens; followed by a special overnight in September aboard the brand new Seabourn Pursuit expedition ship. This is followed by a Cubard Fall Foliage cruise aboard the legendary ocean liner Queen Mary 2, and a trip around the globe “in 18” days. This trip is followed by our very first Direct Travel Access conference in the Windy City – Chicago.
A few days at home to wash clothes and off I will go again to join the inaugural Windstar Dubai cruise which conveniently happens to feature the Formula 1 season finale at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi. I am super excited as this will be a first for me. I’ve been to many races but never to a finale.
Finally, I will ring the year out with a trip to Mazatlan where we will prepare for the total solar eclipse event to take place in April 24. I am ready to buckle up for an action packed fall and early winter and I hope you are as excited as I am for all the amazing adventures ahead.
