A short hop from Da Nang got me to Singapore’s Changi Airport just after 7pm. While most travelers don’t enjoy lay overs, here in Chamgi it is a plus as this world class airport features outstanding Lounges which I got to enjoy for 4 hours, including a shower and a lovely meal.

The flight itself was even better as the crew curated an amazing and very individualized experience for each passenger. As I had a long day leading up to boarding, I curled up to sleep once airborne foregoing the dinner service. Half way through the 12-hour flight, I awoke to a cup of tea and a tasty sandwich. Airbus created a comfortable ambiance aboard the A350 with less air pressure, higher humidity, and large windows to view the world below glide by.

Not only does this type of airplane set the gold standard for flying long-distance, when operated by Singapore Airlines, it is undoubtedly the “BEST” experience anywhere in the skies.
