Happy New Year to all my readers. I am excited to start another exciting year in travel with a bang. While my first trip ended up falling through as my new passport didn’t arrive in time, I am now kicking the year off with a 3-day Icon of the Seas inaugural out of Miami next week.
She is the largest passenger cruise ship in the world, dialing it in at 250,800 Gross Tonnes and a length of 1,198 feet (365 metres). She features 20 decks in total including 18 that passengers can access and 8 neighborhoods to explore. With a maximum of 7500 guests and 2350 crew, she exceeds the Oasis class of ships by about 15%. The geek in me can’t wait to board and experience and blog about it. Stay tuned…!
