Our tour of Japan continued with a stop at the beautiful port of Nagasaki (site of the 2nd nuclear bomb dropped 3 days later than Hiroshima’s. This small town was actually not the intended target but bad weather led to a last minute decision to try to destroy Mitsubishi Shipyards instead of Karatsu.

Instead of a your, we chose to walk off the ship and tour on our own by tram and on foot. This town is easily walkable and it was a true adventure to navigate the public transit system.

From tge port, we took the number 1 line to memorial park for a walk. Then we ride back to town for stone bridges and shopping, before we stopped at a Toyota showroom. The rest is history they say!
