Model train day at Maerklin

After a great night with Evi und Michael with reinforcement from my cousin Markus and his partner Wolfgang, we went to the city of f Goeppingen where Maerklin has been making model trains for over 100 years.  It so happened to be open door day where visitors can tour the factory. 


We saw them make the famous locomotive E103 From the German railway DB. I had gotten one from my grandmother over 40 years ago in scale HO. Watching the fabrication was a dream come through. 

Even better, I was able to buy my very own in scale N on sale. I am a happy camper.
