Thank you Danny and Cal!
While the visit only lasted 12 hours, we spent quality time together that will be remembered for years to come.
Hugs and a few waves goodbye and we were on the road again. Escorted by gray skies and a light snowfall, we headed east on I-70 and eventually due south on HWY 24 and 285.

The snowfall mad way for sunrays and eventually we had blue sky to enjoy the spectacular scenery as the Rockies open up to the high desert toward New Mexico.

Stay tuned for our Santa Fe time post.

As a World traveler and trains, planes, & automobile geek, I have embraced every opportunity to explore this amazing planet. As I write this, I realized vividly how far I have come from growing up in a dysfunctional family in a small Swiss town to living in the San Francisco Bay Area with my husband Greg and our pets Stella and Oscar. I am very fortunate to live the American Dream, having made a career our of my passion for travel and tourism.

We listen to a podcast called nocturnal by Matt Darey. Skiddles is the snatch of choice -the wild berry mix, not traditional.
