Christmas at Sea – Eve aboard

Peaceful breakfast at Windows cafe outside

While most of the US and Canada suffer from snow blizzards and below freezing temps, I feel very fortunate to be aboard Azamara Onward in 70+ degree Caribbean weather on this very special day. Our ship spent the morning hours completing the remaining distance to our first port in Grand Cayman under blue skies. The afternoon we spent anchored with tender boat service ashore for those interested to visit this money laundering haven of mostly jewelry shops and other trinket vendors.

Christmas Eve show in the Cabaret lounge

As today was not only Christmas Eve but also Jim’s birthday, we treated him to Prime-C steakhouse for dinner. Delicious! Of course, we attended the always fun and entertaining caroling session hosted by the crew as a fitting starter to the festivities.

Entertainment staff sings with guests

The rest of the evening was filled with holiday cheers in the cabaret with songs and stories for all guests to enjoy. All I can add is wishing my readers a Merry Christmas at this time! Stay tuned for more adventures as we reach Costa Rica in another nights time.
