Some house keeping: pardon the blog issues yesterday and today. Due to wifi challenges the first dinner blog had no pictures. I have re-posted it just a short while ago with the beautifully presented late images attached. Thanks Julie for the pointer.
Please be advised that due to travel times, there will be a bit of a pause on new blogs.
The exciting part is that I get to do another first. I will board a new aircraft type today in Johannesburg on Singapore Airlines. The flight is operated on a brand new Airbus 350-900 XWB. There are only 3 airlines in the world operating this type of plane. Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific and Qatar Airways. Only 77 of over 900 on order have been built and none fly to the U.S. at this point in time. I am very excited and looking forward to the experience.
This aircraft is a twin-engine wide body aircraft developed to compete with Boeing’s Dreamliner 787 which I will fly next week from Perth to Auckland (also a first). I will blog on that experience and comparisons at a later date.
For now, enjoy the break from blogs and thanks for following my adventure.
