Our second day of excursions took us to the town of Olden from where we rode a bus to the end of the valley to start our hike to the glacier. This was the perfect excursion to catch fresh air and discover the stunning valley and glacier.
The well maintained path climbs over 2 miles and 550 feet elevation to this amazingly beautiful glacier ( the shape of which reminds me of the African continent).
Rounding out our workout this morning was the “Great Norwegian Bake-off” with a tasting of 8 different and delicious cakes. We all felt that this was a very nice touch by the Ponant Excursion team. Now we’re heading back to the ship. Stay tuned for more info on the ship and activities on board.
