An early morning ride to SFO and two legs on Delta behind us, our driver pulled in to the Belmond Maroma on the Mexican Atlantic coast for relaxing days in the sun.

The geek in me was super excited for the first leg from SFO to Salt Lake City DL1384 which added another aircraft type to my list. Originally kicked off as a larger CS aircraft family by Canadian regional jet maker Bombardier to diversify its CRJ offerings, it eventually became a joint project under the Airbus brand. Delta was the launch customer for this highly efficient 95 to 120 passenger jet with the unusual 2-3 seating configuration in coach that the legendary DC-9/MD-80 series used to feature.

Once in our oasis away from home, our host Maria showed us around this intimate boutique property. Stay tuned for more in the coming days. First impressions are excellent.

I love the look of the resort. It has that art deco feel and the surroundings are beautiful. A perfect place to spend your birthdays…although I suspect you’ll be traveling to various places.
Not being an aircraft junky, I’m glad it pleased you.
Hugs,
Julie
