Not unexpectedly the sky turned gray and rainy for the most part of Days 3 and 4 here on the Riviera Maya. Not a problem though as the SPA is the place to go for some pampering. No matter the choice of treatment, you’ll walk away with restored energy and a renewed bounce.

Once the rain stopped for a while, we strolled along the beach all the way down to the Secrets Maroma and on the way back, we meandered the lush and perfectly manicured grounds of the Belmond Maroma which nestle along this nature preserve stretch of coast.

To round out our lovely time here, the management invited us to a special Chef’s Table culinary experience lovingly set out on the terrace under the stars. Fortunately, the rain had stopped for the night so that we could enjoy it fully.

The chef prepared us a five-course progressive dinner with wine pairing that delighted our palates with mouthwatering tastings of uniquely local ingredients and flavors. Hats off, it was a perfect culinary evening for us and the staff was beyond warm and welcoming.

What a lovely way to celebrate your birthdays. Happy Birthday, Rene today…and to Greg, Happy Birthday on December 7th. WOW!!!
Love,
Mom
