My blissful time in the corridor has ended and I am now at my last of three resorts. This one is part of the Apple Leisure Group owned AM Resorts chain called Breatless. This lifestyle branded hotel hugs the public harbor in Downtown Cabo San Lucas.

With its cosmopolitan decor, this place right along the bustle of the Cabo Marina makes an ideal home base for those wanting to enjoy all that Cabo has to offer. That is during non-Covid times of course as the town is pretty much shut down these days. Sadly there is no screaming from drunks at Senor Frog’s; no hustling for any imaginable business proposition (pot, massages, and anything in between and/or beyond); not even the usual panhandlers are out these days. It is a very different Cabo that reveals its charm.

After 24 hours here I can already attest that this resort has a narrow range of appeal. It is truly for partying and silliness, not style and relaxation. Nothing wrong with that as long as clients know what to expect.

Covid-19 testing experience – As of today, every entrant into the US must present proof of a negative Covid-19 test taken within 72-hours of boarding. That meant yesterday afternoon, I lined up with others travelers to get tested. Organized by the resort free of charge, the test is administered by an independent lab which also provides the written attestation required by the enforcing agency which are the airlines.

Be advised that each country sets its own rules as to which tests are admissible and rules may change without much notice. For the US, arrivals must present either a negative viral antigen rapid test or a full PCR test effective 1/26/21 onward. This resort provides the rapid viral antigen one which took just under one hour total from check-in to results in hand. I am pleased to report that I passed without any difficulty and I am cleared to fly back home on Thursday.

Testing out of the way, I focused on the resort amenities and the ever important culinary offerings. As you can imagine for a party resort, food is not a priority. As such, the offerings of 4 different restaurants (Spumante-Italian;Mezze-Lebanese; Ocote-upscale Mexican: and a cafe) are exactly what one would expect. Nourishment over experience is a fair rating that says it all Finer palates need not come here – instead Le Blanc is calling their name.

Stay tuned for my final blog from this trip later this week as I re-enter the US.
