After four wonderful nights at Club Med Punta Cana it was time to move on to another popular property for a stay to check things out. We took a short taxi ride over to the private development area of Cap Cana to Sanctuary Cap Cana all-inclusive adults only resort which is now managed by Playa Hotels.

This 330 room resort was completely refurbished in 2018 with a very trendy Z-Gallery style of eclectic decor with oversized furniture. It offers a unique point of view and judging by occupancy, they are right on trend with today’s consumer. The architecture includes a former monastery (among the oldest in the new world) that was cleverly integrated into a cohesive new experience.

The castle section is especially nice and features several room categories including swim out suites. This section is modeled after a 16th century Spanish limestone castle and it utilized some preserved ruins as its base.

Overall this is a solid resort with all the right touches. Music is piped everywhere as are scents throughout public spaces. Service was excellent and rooms were very comfortable. While not entirely my personal style, I see the appeal for many couples. Food was very good as well which adds to the experience. One drawback is the fact that every inch of the property is used up so there is very little sandy beach left. For true beach lovers, I recommend Club Med which features miles of unspoiled white sand to lay and walk on.

Stay tuned for my last stay component at Zoetry which begins in earnest tomorrow. Safe travels to my fellow road warrior Heather whom returned home to Houston today.
Awesome property Rene : )

So far, that is the most appealing of the resorts you’ve experienced. Thanks for sharing.
Look forward to one of your delicious dinners upon your return.
